New speakers

We welcome Dr. James Thrall, Radiologist-in-Chief at MGH and President of the ACR, Dr. Khan Siddiqui, Principal Program Manager for Health Solutions Group at Microsoft Corp and Visiting Associate Professor of Radiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Ms. Rachel Block, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Health Information Technology Transformation at the NY State Department of Health, and Dr. Elizabeth Krupinski, Professor and Vice Chair of Research at University of Arizona and Chair of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine.

ASRT CE Credit

This activity is approved for credit by the ASRT. We listened to your feedback and made sure to include this for 2011! Two of the lectures are approved for category A+: Using Radiology IT to Reduce Dose: A Chairman's Perspective and Engaging with Patients - Imaging Informatics Aspects & Best Practices. The rest are approved for category A credit.

SIIM, New York eHealth Collaborative and NYC REACH

There will be informational booths with representatives from 3 related non-profit organizations: the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), the New York eHealth Collaborative and NYC Regional Extension Center for Health IT (NYC REACH) to enable attendees to build bridges with these worthy organizations.

Wireless internet access and real-time audience response system

We plan to provide free WiFi service in the lecture hall. Be sure to bring your laptop or mobile device with you as we also plan to have some lectures include the opportunity for real-time audience responses using your own WiFi or mobile broadband device. Bring yours along to make sure your vote counts for these polls of the audience!

Online registration and CME evaluation forms

The registration system is on the web this year to make the process more accurate and secure. Likewise the CME evaluation forms will be online this year. This is yet another reason to bring your WiFi or mobile broadband device with you so you can fill out the forms during or right after the lectures.

Better seating arrangements and audio visual presentation

The seats will be oriented in such a way so as to minimize the distance of the back row from the speakers, and there will be additional displays to make sure everyone can get a good view.
